Under the motto “if SMEs do well, Chile does well”, Sercotec carried out the MeetUp Productive Chains 2026a meeting that brought together representatives of the large national industry to promote joint work that promotes the growth of micro and small businesses in the country.
The activity provided a space to make visible and transmit good practices that have successfully promoted articulations between large companies and local SMEs, promoted from the private world and the public sector, using the territorial deployment of the network of Sercotec Business Development Centers as a key bridge.
To consolidate these efforts, during the event Sercotec announced an alliance with Large Pyme, a corporation that unites large companies, unions and entrepreneurs in the country in an active collaboration network that allows opening new development opportunities.
Regarding the activity, the bi-minister of Economy, Development and Tourism and Mining, Daniel Mascommented that “with instances like this we can connect public policies with the regions. About 28 thousand entrepreneurs pass through our Business Development Centers throughout the country every year and they are the ones we want to make grow, and with it make Chile grow. For our part, from the Ministry of Economy, through Sercotec, we are going to support these entrepreneurs so that they can take the step, promoting strategic links with the industry so that they generate new opportunities for scaling.”
For his part, the general manager of Sercotec, Henry Azurmendipointed out that “productive chains generate real scaling opportunities for micro and small businesses. We have demonstrated this in this event, with concrete experiences that reveal that this articulation is possible and replicable in the different regions of the country. At Sercotec we are committed to promoting business links to generate more growth, positioning our network of Business Development Centers and the more than 28 thousand SMEs that they serve throughout Chile as a strategic ally in this work.”
During the event, it was possible to learn about the projects promoted by the companies Abastible, Andina, Cran Chile, Lipigas, Metro and Anglo American to open spaces for SMEs in different locations in the country, in addition to Chilecompra, which delved into the existing alternatives from the public sector. The activity also included the participation of representatives from Walmart, Arauco, Santiago Airport, Local Shop and Simone de Cirene.
From the network of Centers, successful experiences of productive chains promoted in the communes of Concepción, Arica, Quilicura and the province of Chacabuco were also presented, under a conversation panel moderated by the regional director of Sercotec Araucanía, Yurisan Castro.
He Manager of Business Development Centers, Vicente Alti, He emphasized that “this type of productive alliances are at the heart of the development strategy for SMEs that we are promoting at Sercotec. Linking SMEs with large companies brings a series of benefits: that they can sell to an audience that they are not reaching, that they raise their production standards by opening up to new markets, and that they generate local networks of support and cross-knowledge. We created this meeting for that, so that they can link up, learn about experiences, and that organizations can know what we are doing. like Sercotec.”
The MeetUp Productive Links 2026 meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of Tourism, María Paz Lagos, the heads of the Business Development Centers throughout the country and the 16 regional directors of Sercotec, in addition to various business representatives.
