LIMERICK TWP, PA — Motorists using U.S. 422 in Montgomery County should prepare for overnight ramp restrictions tonight, November 1, as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) schedules line painting at the Route 29 and Township Line Road interchanges in Limerick and Upper Providence townships.

At a Glance

  • Roads Affected: U.S. 422 Eastbound and Westbound entrance and exit ramps at Route 29 (Collegeville Road) and Township Line Road (Royersford/Trappe).
  • Dates: Sunday, November 1, through Monday, November 2, 2026.
  • Times: Eastbound ramps, 7:00 PM–5:00 AM; westbound ramps, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM the following morning.
  • Reason: Pavement line painting.

Lane closures will affect ramps connecting both directions of U.S. 422 with Route 29 and Township Line Road. Eastbound ramp restrictions will begin at 7:00 PM, followed by westbound restrictions at 8:00 PM.

PennDOT advises drivers to allow extra travel time because backups and delays may occur near the affected interchanges.

The work is part of a $6.2 million state-funded project to resurface and repair 4.4 miles of U.S. 422. Additional improvements include asphalt milling and resurfacing, pavement markings, edge-line rumble strips, and roadway base repairs as needed.

Allan Myers Inc. of Worcester is the general contractor. The schedule is weather dependent.
