SKF Vertevo enters the market as a pure automotive supplier, exposed to vehicle cycles that SKF’s industrial arm once offset
SKF Vertevo, the automotive business being separated from SKF, has unveiled its brand, website and social media channels ahead of a planned listing on 1 December 2026. The launch gives the Gothenburg-based supplier its own identity as a stand-alone, automotive-only company, while the retained SKF name keeps a link to its former parent.
The company serves automakers and the vehicle aftermarket in more than 100 countries, with low-friction products for two- and three-wheelers, passenger cars, commercial vehicles and motorsport. It employs around 7,500 people and works through more than 9,000 distributors.
As a pure automotive supplier, its results will track vehicle production and aftermarket demand alone, without the cushion of SKF’s wider industrial portfolio. Holding on to the SKF name should help it carry customer recognition built over more than a century into the listing.
The new identity draws on racing, where the company says it has contributed to automotive engineering for decades. It is also designed to signal ambitions in future mobility, though the company gave no strategy or financial targets alongside the launch.
