With the purpose of strengthening the entrepreneurial talent of Monterrey women and providing them with tools to boost their businesses, the Government of Monterrey, headed by Mayor Adrián de la Garza, carried out the activity “Present your Business and Connect”, as part of the Academy of Entrepreneurs 2.0.
At the facilities of the Monterrey Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (CIEM), around 50 participants in the program, promoted by the Municipal Institute of Royal Women (IMMR) in coordination with the Secretariat of Economic Development, put into practice their skills to communicate their value propositions, present their products and services, and establish business connections.
During the day, the entrepreneurs made presentations of their businesses in a maximum of three minutes, through a pitch dynamic that allowed them to exercise their capacity for synthesis and convincing, in addition to receiving feedback to improve the way they approach potential clients, allies and investors.
The Secretary of Economic Development, Ximena Tamariz, highlighted that this collaboration responds to the instruction of Mayor Adrián de la Garza to coordinate efforts between municipal agencies to expand development opportunities.
“This collaboration greatly benefits women entrepreneurs, strengthening their autonomy, their independence, and this contributes, of course, to generating greater economic momentum and dynamism in our city,” she said.
For her part, the director of the IMMR, África Elizondo Rodríguez, recognized the commitment of the participants and invited them to take advantage of every opportunity to present their endeavors with clarity and confidence.
Elizondo Rodríguez also highlighted the importance of strengthening the economic autonomy and decision-making capacity of women, as well as accompanying them in their transition from entrepreneurs to businesswomen.
The director of Entrepreneurship and Investment Promotion, Juan Ignacio Bringas Martínez, also participated, who explained that the exercise focused on strengthening the communication of business proposals and the participants’ ability to connect with potential clients and business allies.
