Digital Life Certificate Campaign 2026: The central government is going to run the biggest ever Digital Life Certificate Campaign (DLC Campaign 5.0) across the country from November 1. With this, elderly pensioners will not need to go to the bank every year to submit the life certificate. They will be able to submit the Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) sitting at home by doing Face Authentication from their smartphone. Under this campaign, a target has been set to issue 2.30 crore digital certificates.
Digital Life Certificate campaign will run from 1st to 30th November
According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Personnel yesterday, the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare will run the fifth nationwide Digital Life Certificate campaign from 1 to 30 November 2026. This will be the biggest DLC campaign ever. It will be organized in 2,000 cities and districts of the country, so that more and more pensioners can take advantage of this facility.
It is necessary to submit life certificate every year to get pension.
Actually, to continue the pension, the pensioner has to submit his Life Certificate Submission every year. Earlier for this one usually had to go to the bank or related office. But now this work can be done digitally through Jeevan Pramaan. This is a biometric based facility, through which pensioners can submit their Digital Life Certificate (DLC Online Submission 2026).
This time the special focus of the campaign will be on face authentication. With its help, pensioners will be able to get a digital life certificate by scanning their face with the camera of their smartphone. This feature is available on both Android and iOS smartphones. Especially it has been made easy and convenient for the elderly, so that they do not have to visit the bank for small needs.
Many government departments will jointly run the campaign
Many departments of the central and state governments will work together to make this campaign successful. This will include pension paying banks, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), Pensioners Welfare Association, Controller General of Defense Accounts (CGDA), Department of Telecommunications, Railways, Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), State Governments, UIDAI and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Its objective is to provide the facility of digital life certificate even to the pensioners living in remote areas of the country.
Facility will be available from health checkup to Aadhaar update.
This time the DLC campaign will be run as a celebration. Under this, pensioners will be given many other facilities along with digital life certificate. These include services like health checkup and Aadhaar update. Doorstep service will also be provided as per the need for the elderly who have difficulty in leaving the house.
Pensioners’ complaints related to DLC will be resolved immediately.
During this campaign to be run across the country, complaint officers will also be deployed to resolve problems and complaints related to Digital Life Certificate. The government has laid emphasis on resolving the complaints as soon as possible through them. This is expected to provide relief to the pensioners from the problems faced in the process of submitting the certificates.
