WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A Palm Beach Gardens man was arrested after a security guard reported seeing him try car doors and take a bag from a vehicle in a West Palm Beach parking garage, police said. Investigators later connected him to a separate burglary at a nearby garage, according to arrest reports.
Dikenson Andre Joseph, 28, was arrested Oct. 30 and held on a total bond of $55,000. He faces charges including armed burglary of a conveyance, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and grand theft.
West Palm Beach police responded to the Waterfront Parking Garage at 101 N. Clematis St. around 7:41 p.m. Oct. 29 after a security guard reported a man pulling on vehicle door handles, the report said. The guard told police she watched surveillance video as the man walked among parked cars, then saw him open a Kia’s trunk and put a bag inside a black BMW.
The guard identified Joseph as the man, according to the report. Officers found him in the passenger seat of a Toyota Tundra that he said did not belong to him. The truck’s owner told police the vehicle had been rummaged through, though he did not believe anything was missing.
The Kia’s owner told police that a handgun, a magazine, headphones and a bag were missing from her vehicle. Police said the bag and headphones were found in Joseph’s BMW after it was towed. The report says Joseph later told detectives he had been inside the Tundra and Kia and took the items found in his vehicle.

Police also connected Joseph to a separate burglary reported at a parking garage at 505 S. Flagler Drive. The owner of a Porsche told officers that a backpack containing a Dell laptop and headphones had been taken from the car. The items, valued at about $2,600, were found in Joseph’s vehicle, the report said. Joseph told detectives he entered the Porsche and took the bag and laptop, according to the affidavit.
