SoundHound’s Ultraviolette deal shows agentic voice AI spreading from cars into two-wheelers, where hands-free control matters most
SoundHound AI will power the voice AI co-pilot across Ultraviolette’s electric motorcycle range under an expanded commercial agreement announced on 4 November 2026. Through a helmet headset, riders can change ride modes, adjust traction control, run diagnostics and query the owner’s manual while keeping both hands on the bars.
First shown at CES 2026, Violette AI wakes when a rider says its name. It can switch anti-lock braking settings, report battery charge, range and tyre condition, and manage calls and music despite in-helmet wind noise.
At Milan’s EICMA show this week, Ultraviolette is demonstrating pre-ride system checks, riding statistics and advance service alerts, and plans to link the co-pilot to SoundHound’s Oasys agentic AI platform. Neither company has disclosed commercial terms or which models get the system first.
Voice control answers a constraint specific to two-wheelers, where riders cannot easily glance at a screen or release the handlebars. Ultraviolette, an Indian electric motorcycle maker founded in 2016, exports to 20 countries, among them Germany and France.
“Ultraviolette is redefining electric two-wheelers, and expanding our partnership allows us to deploy our agentic voice AI at true production scale,” Keyvan Mohajer, Chief Executive and Co-Founder of SoundHound AI, said. “This expansion reinforces SoundHound’s position as the partner of choice for global automotive and mobility brands looking to deliver fast, highly accurate voice technology.”
