HOUSTON — Rice volleyball hits the road this weekend to face UTSA Friday and Temple Sunday as the Owls continue their push for the American Conference regular-season title.

• The Owls are tied for second in the American Conference standings with Tulane and East Carolina, while Florida Atlantic sits in first after defeating South Florida on Wednesday. All four teams entered the week tied for first.

• Rice defeated Tulane 3-1 and South Florida 3-0 last weekend.

• The Owls will play three of their remaining four matches on the road over the final two weeks of the season.

• This is the 43^rd all-time meeting between the Roadrunners and Owls.

• The Owls defeated UTSA 3-0 in the first round of the conference championship last season in their previous meeting.

• Rice has swept UTSA in each of the last 12 meetings and has not dropped a set to the Roadrunners since 2021.

• This is the fifth overall meeting between Rice and Temple.

• Rice is 1-1 when facing Temple in Philadelphia.
