After EL UNIVERSAL announced the distribution of five cards preloaded with 10 thousand pesos each to the 254 congressmen of the guinda party, the administrative coordinator, Faruk Miguel Take, acknowledged on behalf of the parliamentary group the delivery of said benefit, but assured that there were not five cards per deputy, but three.
Likewise, he maintained that the cards are part of the ordinary prerogatives that the 500 deputies receive.
”These resources are part of the ordinary prerogatives that by law are assigned to the 500 legislators of the various parliamentary groups to carry out their complementary tasks of parliamentary, administrative and popular representation management,” he said.
He added that “these prerogatives are legal and are distributed equally among the members of the various parliamentary groups, which determine the modality of their delivery.”
In the case of the Morena parliamentary faction, “30 thousand pesos were advanced from the year-end prerogatives of each legislator through electronic wallets, for greater security and transparency,” he added.
Two months before the pre-campaigns for the 2027 elections begin, Morena’s 254 federal deputies received five electronic wallets with preloaded balances of 10 thousand pesos each.
The expense is not considered in the prerogatives of the legislators.
The cards are from the Broxel brand, of the “I have Business” modality, which is used to manage travel expenses and business expenses.
