The Government of Morelos, headed by Margarita González Saravia, promotes the link between science, innovation and economic development through the scientific entrepreneurship seminar “From the Laboratory to the Market”, through the Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor (SDEyT) and the Council of Science and Technology of the State of Morelos (CCyTEM).
The initiative brings together 25 participants: 12 in person and 13 online, with projects related to biotechnology, food, health, medical devices, environmental technologies, education, electronics and digital tools. They come from institutions such as the UAEM, the IPN, the UNAM and the TecNM-Zacatepec, as well as companies and ventures.
The training provides tools to identify research application opportunities, develop value propositions, and explore business models. The objective is for scientific knowledge to transcend laboratories and become products, services and solutions that meet the needs of the population and generate new economic opportunities.
The program is coordinated by the CCyTEM, through the Morelense Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer (CeMITT), while the Institute of Physical Sciences of the UNAM develops and teaches the academic contents. This collaboration brings specialized knowledge and strengthens capabilities to promote the application and transfer of scientific developments.
With the seminar “From the Laboratory to the Market”, the Government of “The land that unites us” strengthens the connection between academic institutions, the productive sector and entrepreneurial people, so that research and scientific talent find application opportunities, promote new businesses and contribute to the economic and social development of the entity.
