Loyola has been named to the Mental Health Services Honor Roll for 2027, earning recognition as one of just 76 colleges and universities nationwide
commended for their exceptional dedication to student mental health and well-being
The annual Honor Roll is published by The Princeton Review in partnership with the Ruderman Family Foundation, an internationally recognized organization working to end the stigma associated
with mental health. Now in its third year, the Mental Health Services Honor Roll recognizes
institutions that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting students through accessible
counseling, mental health, and wellness resources
The Princeton Review specifically cited services provided through the Counseling Center, Eight Dimensions
of Wellness framework, and peer-to-peer support as strengths at Loyola
“Loyola University Maryland is deeply committed to caring for the whole person, a
value rooted in our Jesuit educational mission,” said Jason Parcover, Ph.D., associate
vice president for student wellbeing. “This recognition affirms the intentional work
being done across our campus to support students’ mental health, well-being, and success.
We are honored to be recognized among the nation’s leading institutions for mental
health services.”
Schools selected for the 2027 Honor Roll were evaluated using data from The Princeton Review’s 2026 Campus Mental Health Survey. The survey gathered information from administrators
at 739 colleges and universities regarding counseling, mental health, and wellness
services. In addition, more than 56,000 students across 300 colleges were surveyed
about their awareness of and engagement with campus mental health resources
Loyola’s inclusion on the Honor Roll reflects the University’s ongoing investment
in services and programs that promote mental health, resilience, and student wellbeing.
Through counseling services, wellness education, crisis support, outreach initiatives,
and campus-wide partnerships, Loyola seeks to create an environment where students
can thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually
