Infinity Science Center in Hancock County, Mississippi, unveiled an interactive kiosk on Nov. 4 that highlights Mississippians’ contributions to American space exploration, according to a WLOX News report. Mississippi Coding Academies built the kiosk.
The center also introduced a sculpture by Hancock County artist Steve Barney. Both projects received funding through America 250 legacy grants from the Mississippi Humanities Council.
Michelle Anderson, the center’s CEO and executive director, told the news outlet that interactive exhibits help visitors connect with the state’s space exploration history. She said the additions support the center’s efforts to explain Mississippi’s contributions and preserve the stories of those involved.
