On November 2, 2026, EDGE Europe announced the signing of an MoU with Novamarine on joint development of unmanned surface vessels at the Euronaval 2026 exhibition in Paris.

EDGE Europe, the Paris-headquartered European company of EDGE, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Novamarine, a company active in the design, production and marketing of high-performance pleasure boats in the pleasure segment and the professional segment, listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market, at Euronaval 2026. Under the MoU, the two companies will explore the joint development of unmanned surface vessels (USVs), integrating an autonomous control system from EDGE.
Novamarine will provide the platforms, produced at its production facility in Olbia, Italy, while EDGE’s naval shipbuilding entity, Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), will carry out the full integration. The Technology Innovation Institute (TII), the applied research arm of Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council, will provide the autonomous navigation and control system through EDGE.
Two USV models are on display on Novamarine’s stand at Euronaval 2026, which runs until 6 November.
The MoU reflects the model behind EDGE Europe, launched in Paris in June 2026. The Group builds in Europe, invests in European talent, and develops technology on European soil, working with established companies to strengthen national industrial bases.
