Close Quarters

Last season, the Tigers dropped 10 contests by a margin of five or fewer points, including a one-point loss to Harvard and a two-point loss to Dartmouth. While last year’s record undersold the Tigers’ competitiveness, they’ll be looking to put more of those close games in the win column in 26-27.

How About Hicke

Jackson Hicke led the Tigers with 15.4 points-per-game in 2025-26, averaing 46.8% on field goals and shooting 39.8% from three. Hicke finished the year ranked 10th in the Ivy League in scoring and ninth in three-point FG percentage.

All Eyes On Abdullahi

Having a breakout season last year, junior Malik Abdullahi averaged 9.7 points with .561 from the field to rank second in the Ivy League in FG%. With 5.7 boards per game, Abdullahi also ended the year ranked eighth in the league in rebounds.

Huggins 2.0

After contributing in 2024-25, Jacob Huggins has taken on an increased role on the team on and off the court. Last season, Huggins played in all 29 games and started five, averaging 4.8 points-per-game and 4.3 rebounds. He recorded his first career double-double against a DI opponent on Feb. 28 against Dartmouth with 10 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Now a senior captain, showing improvement in the offseason as noted by Henderson, he’ll be one to watch in 26-27.

Stanton Outside The Arc

A key contributor for the Tigers last season, Jack Stanton ended the year ranked fifth in the Ivy League in three-point field goals-per-game (2.5), also ranking sixth in the Ivy League and leading the squad in total three-point field goals made (57).

Clark averaged six points and four rebounds a game, also shooting 35.6% from three. Whitfield averaged 3.4 points and 1.9 boards. Both appeared in all 29 games.

Tigers In Italy

The Tigers took a team preseason trip to Italy this August. With time together and the chance to form great memories, the trip has contributed to an extremely close-knit team culture going into the season.

A Homecoming For Mike Brennan

Mike Brennan returned to the Tigers’ staff as the Ted

Athanassiades ’61 Association Head Coach ahead of the 2025-26 season. An assistant coach at Cornell during 2024-25,
