Pop-up notice missing, but…

As EPFO had put a big pop-up notice on the homepage on Thursday, on which it was clearly written that the website will open on July 3 and the services related to PF will resume. But the website did not open till 9 am on Thursday and the same notice was visible pasted on the homepage. However, when NDTV opened the website again to check at around 10 am, it was open. We immediately took a screenshot as proof.

What was feared happened!

The website opened once, but as soon as I tried to go to the members page to login through UAN, the UAN portal got jammed. Even on the main website now the notification of under maintenance is coming.

Official sources told NDTV that to improve service, increase processing capacity and provide better experience to users, EPFO is carrying out database consolidation and upgradation of software applications for the claim processing system. Therefore it may take time for it to become stable.

PF interest amount will be coming from today, but..

EPFO has started paying interest for the year 2025-26 to its account holders from today. However, it may take 15 days to transfer the interest amount to more than 7 crore subscribers. Today this amount can come into the account of many people. In such a situation, a large number of people want to check whether the interest amount has been added to their account or not. If you are troubled by the portal not opening and are not able to check your balance, then you have other options.

You can know PF balance through missed call like this

The easiest way to check balance is by missed call. For this you will have to call a toll-free number from your registered mobile number. The number is 9966044425. As soon as you call this number, the phone will automatically get disconnected after two rings. Then after a few seconds, an SMS will come on your phone, in which the complete details of your PF account i.e. balance, last contribution and name will be written. One important thing is that for this your UAN should be active and mobile number should be registered with EPFO.

You can know PF balance through SMS

Apart from missed call, you can also get balance by sending a simple message. For this, go to the message box from your registered mobile number and type, EPFOHO UAN LAN. Here LAN means language. Here the language code has to be written, like HIN for Hindi and ENG for English.

For example, if your UAN is 123456789012 and you want to know the balance in Hindi, then you have to write EPFOHO 123456789012 HIN. Then send this message to 7738299899. You will get the information in the reply message within some time.

Department’s claim – a lot of things will become easier

The complaints that people used to have regarding the EPFO website are expected to be resolved now. Recently EPFO sent a message to all its subscribers. In this he told that EPFO is bringing together its database and upgrading the software application. Due to this change, services like submitting claim and downloading passbook will not be available to members for some time from June 26. PF account holders and companies are not able to login to the EPFO portal. Due to this many important works are stuck.

EPFO claims that these services will be restored soon.
