The eyes of central employees and pensioners always remain focused on every update related to the 8th Pay Commission. Recently, when a new update or banner appeared on the official website of the Pay Commission, discussions intensified among the employees. The question in everyone’s mind was whether this new update is related to salary, pension or the recommendations of the Pay Commission.
Is the update on Pay Commission website related to salary?
no way. The new banner flashing on the official website of the Eighth Pay Commission has nothing to do with the changes in salary, arrears or pension of central employees. This is not a notification related to the recommendations of the Pay Commission. The banner visible on the Pay Commission website is a promotional message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular program Mann Ki Baat.
According to the banner, PM Modi will speak on Mann Ki Baat on November 29, which will be the 140th episode of this program. If any citizen wants to include his views or issues in this episode of PM Modi, he can record his message in Hindi or English by calling the toll-free number 1800-11-7800. Apart from this, suggestions can also be sent through the SMS link received by giving a missed call on 1922.
Why do such banners appear on government websites?
According to the rules of the Central Government, there is a special arrangement to publicize government schemes, important campaigns and information on all the official websites of the government. Even before this, banners related to the installments of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana have appeared on the website of the Pay Commission. Exactly under this arrangement, the banner of Mann Ki Baat has been placed on the website.
When was the last official update related to 8th Pay Commission?
The last official notification on the website of the 8th Pay Commission was issued on 21 September 2026. In that notification, information was given about the meeting held in Mumbai on 22-23 October. Let us tell you that the 8th Central Pay Commission was constituted on 3 November 2025 under the chairmanship of Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai. The commission has got 18 months to give its recommendations, and it is believed that the new pay scales can be implemented from January 1, 2026.
If you too were expecting an increase in salary or DA after seeing the new banner on the website of the 8th Pay Commission, then let us tell you that this is just a general publicity message of the government. No new notification regarding salary revision has been issued by the Pay Commission yet.
